The Exclamation/ Interjection – Oh, Hell!

The exclamation/interjection is the part of speech that accounts for otherwise non-grammatical words and sounds. Sounds that have no grammatical value except as sudden cries and outbursts, like, “huh?” “ooh,” “yikes!,” etc, or sounds that have become words but likewise play no otherwise reasonable grammatical part, like, “hello!” or lastly legitimate words, which play no meaningful part in the sentence, as, “well!” “hell!” “goodness!”
